Apparently, life goes on even after you pass history class and win the battle of the bands. But it's not always nearly as bodacious as you might think.

A Bill & Ted follow up has been rumored to be in the works since 2007, but now it's confirmed that the world's most beloved time-traveling dudes are officially back. The third installment of the not-so-teen comedy will be titled Bill & Ted Face the Music.

Bill actor Alex Winter described the premise to Entertainment Weekly as, "kind of like A Christmas Carol, but with Bill & Ted," which truly sounds like a bogus rockstar's living nightmare.

When last we left our titular dudes, it was prophesied that their high school band would write the song that would save the universe (no pressure). Well, it looks like The Wyld Stallyns have been suffering from some performance anxiety since. Because many heinous tunes and years later, they still have yet to fulfill their destiny. That won't stop them from persevering, though.

According to the press release, Bill and Ted won't stop until they "bring harmony to the universe as we know it," being helped along the way "by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends."

Original writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon are returning, but now with Galaxy Quest director Dean Parisot. We couldn't imagine a better team to explore a time-traveling journey with a bunch of idiots.

In a statement, Winter and Keanu Reeves said, “We couldn’t be more excited to get the whole band back together again.”

We couldn't be more excited either. Party on, my dudes.
