This tiny bird swallowed a pair of tweezers and the X-rays will haunt your dreams
LONDON -- A tiny jackdaw has made a miraculous recovery after it somehow managed to swallow a pair of tweezers almost the length of its entire body.
The bird was treated at the RSPCA Grange Wildlife Centre in Cheshire, UK, where it underwent surgery to remove the tweezers.
Dr. Bev Panto, a wildlife vet at the centre, was quoted in a press release sent to Mashable as saying that she thought the jackdaw had absolutely no chance of survival.

“The tweezers stretched the whole length of his digestive system," she explained. "Right from his crop to his intestines and the sharp ends were piercing through his skin.
“But after a challenging and intricate surgery to remove the tweezers via his stomach, and a nail-biting hour watching him recover, he proved he was quite the little fighter."
The bird has now made a full recovery.

We may never know why the bird decided a large pair of tweezers would make a suitable dinner. Jackdaws are meant to be attracted to shiny objects, though, so it's always possible he was trying to pick them up and swallowed them by accident.
No more tweezers for you, Mr. Jackdaw.
