A scary flock of birds freaked out as Hurricane Ophelia approached Ireland

This makes birds look even more frightening

This flock of ominous birds in Cork, Ireland, would be able to give Alfred Hitchcock nightmares.

As Hurricane Ophelia, which may now be designated as a tropical storm, approached Ireland, twitter user Sltlk, posted a video on Monday of the birds squawking in a frenzy around some houses.

Despite the birds looking like extras in Hitchcock's classic horror film they probably simply sensed the hurricane force winds approaching.

Ophelia is expected to cause significant damage to parts of Ireland including power outages.

Birds swirling around the back of your house never feels like a good sign.
