He was already the strongest man in Westeros. Now he's officially the strongest man on Earth.

Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, known to Game of Thrones fans as Gregor Clegane, a.k.a. The Mountain, took first place at the annual World's Strongest Man competition on Sunday. The 29-year-old Icelander finally won the title after coming in second or third place in the six previous years.

Björnsson, who stands at six-foot-nine and weighs over 400 pounds, took first place in three of the six events at the World's Strongest Man finals in the Philippines, beating out four-time American champion Brian Shaw who took third and Poland's runner-up Mateusz Kieliszkowski.

During this year, Björnsson has also won the Arnold Strongman Classic and Europe's Strongest Man competitions, becoming the first person to ever win all three events in the same year.

In addition to these titles, Björnsson currently holds the world record for heaviest deadlift at 1,041 pounds and broke a 1,000-year-old record for log carrying, earning him the title of World's Strongest Viking.

Björnsson will likely return to the screen when Game of Thrones comes back for its final season in 2019 where we may be able to catch some of his feats of strength against the enemies of House Lannister.
