SAVE $450: The Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 is on sale at Amazon for just $349, down from the normal price of $799. That's a massive 56% discount and the lowest price we've ever seen on this model.

I'll be honest when I say I didn't think I would love portable power stations as much as I do. Sure, I knew they would be useful when camping or during a power outage, but I did not realize just how often I'd use on in my everyday normal life. After testing over a dozen portable power stations, there's one that stands out as a favorite and it happens to be at a new record-low price for Black Friday.

As of Nov. 27, the Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 is on sale at Amazon for only $349, marked down from the standard price of $799. That works out to a major 56% discount and a savings of $450 for this new model. It's also a record-low.

Anker stepped up their game with this Gen 2 model of the C1000. For starters, it's lighter than the original C1000 (which I also love, tbh). This newer model comes with a weight of 24.9 pounds which means super easy to carry from room to room during an outage. It's only a few pounds lighter than the original model, but it makes a big difference. Anker also redesigned the overall shape on the Gen 2 which lends to its portability.

I'm also in love with Anker's thoughtful port design on the C1000 Gen 2. Two UBS-C ports max out at 140W and all five of the AC ports are spread out enough that it should be no issue to plug in bulker items like battery rechargers.

Aside from camping and power outages, I actually find myself packing the Solix C1000 Gen 2 when I visit my parents house. Their 1950s house is low on outlets, so I pack along the power station to keep on the guest room nightstand to recharge my phone each night. In fact, it's powering my laptop as I'm typing at my parent's house before we dive into the Thanksgiving meal.

Really, the only reason I'd choose the original Solix C1000 over the new Gen 2 is because the older model comes with a built-in lightbar. That's immensely useful during a power outage when you're carrying the power station up the stairs and need some lighting to illuminate the path. However, the Anker Solix C1000 is only on sale for $397 during Black Friday, compared to the Gen 2 sale price of $349. Unless you really want that lightbar, I'd go with the cheaper price on the Gen 2.

Before we lose this excellent discount, snag the Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 while it's sitting at a record low of $349 at Amazon. This Black Friday deal could completely change your next camping trip or snagging it as a gift will earn you top marks for holiday gift-giving this year.
