Black Panther is the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe entry that looks like it's going to blow our minds and it seems the general movie-going audience agrees as the film has set a new advanced ticket sales mark at Fandango for Marvel films.

Fandango managing editor dropped a tweet on Wednesday morning confirming the news.

Additionally, Davis added in a statement released by Fandango, “Black Panther is riding an incredible wave of momentum right now. It’s one of the biggest and most anticipated movies to ever open in the month of February, and its trailers have electrified the Internet. Tickets have been going fast ever since presales started on Fandango late Monday.”

No concrete numbers for Black Panther or previous Marvel movies were released.

While movie chains and other sites also offer advanced tickets, Fandango is the most popular, giving a good indication of where sales are heading for the film, which hits theaters on February 16.

As Deadline notes, Captain America: Civil War racked up $179 million on its opening weekend in May 2016. Advanced ticket sales don't necessarily mean Black Panther will hit that number -- the box office in February is typically below May's -- but between the buzz and its release over the extended Presidents Day weekend, Panther figures to debut to some damn good numbers.

Besides the general badassness of the film's trailers, there's also the news that Kendrick Lamar is producing the corresponding Black Panther: The Album, which includes his new collaboration with SZA, making this one of the more highly anticipated MCU releases in a while.
