Blood Orange releases 'Freetown Sound' early, drops 'Augustine' vid
Without much fanfare, Devonté Hynes gave the people what they needed -- his new album as Blood Orange, Freetown Sound.
The album was originally set to be released on July 1, but he dropped it early Tuesday morning instead.

To make things even better, Hynes brought an impressive list of collaborators along for the ride.

He also shared the video for his song, "Augustine."
Prior to the album's release, Hynes announced on Instagram, “My album is for everyone told they’re not black enough, too black, too queer, not queer the right way … it’s a clapback.”
Freetown Sound is the follow up to 2013's Cupid Deluxe
