You'll never see it coming.

Around the world, politicians have a battle plan when it comes to addressing the media.

Will they come in angry? Will they be happy when they talk to reporters? For Australian politician Bob Katter, it's the whole gamut of emotions.

At a press conference on Sunday, Katter glibly reflected on Australia's recent vote to legalise marriage equality, by saying "everyone's entitled to their own sexual proclivities."

Then watch the mood change as he switches the topic to people dying from crocodiles. It's compelling and er, concerning, to say the least.

For those wondering, yes, Australian politics is this mad. The internet was amazed with what they just saw.

To understand what Katter is all about, here's his highly entertaining campaign ad from 2010. You're welcome.
