Then, as always, we close the show with recommendations.

  • Aliza recommends The Six of Crows Duology, a two-part book series composed of Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom, both by Leigh Bardugo. "It's like Oceans 11 but in a fantasy world with young people and magic." She also recommends Diary of Anne Frank "to make sure you're thinking about the world in a historical sense."

  • MJ recommends reading The New York Time Magazine's story "The Last Taboo" by Wesley Morris, which explores black male sexuality by looking at the way black penises have been depicted in pop culture. Then you should go listen to Wesley Morris' Longform Podcast episode about the article here.

  • Peter recommends the show Bob's Burgers. "They have great Thanksgiving episodes. It's a great show. Please watch it."
