Kind boy leaves cold drinks outside for mailman during heatwave
During the hottest week of the year, happiness is a cold drink.
The heat index reached over 105 degrees last week in Newport News, Virginia — but mail carriers, of course, had to do their jobs as usual. That's why 8-year-old Carmine McDaniel stocked a cooler full of cold water and Gatorade, then left it on the front porch as a refreshing gift for mailman Henry Bailey.
On Thursday, Carmine's mom Terra posted a Facebook video of Bailey's reaction — and he's about as overjoyed as you'd expect.
