We told you Wednesday why Gisele Bündchen's recent revelation about Tom Brady should bother every NFL fan.

One day later, a rather believable conspiracy theory among New England Patriots supporters has added another layer to the story.

Is Gisele trying to get her husband to hang up the cleats?

In a Wednesday interview with This Morning on CBS, Bündchen said Brady has a history of concussions -- and even had an unreported head injury last year. This is interesting for a couple reasons: First, Brady has not had any concussions listed on injury reports in recent seasons; and second, the last few years have produced troubling findings about the serious health problems repeated blows to the head can cause for NFL players after they retire.

"He had a concussion last year. He has concussions pretty much every ... I mean, we don’t talk about it. He does have concussions," Bündchen said of her husband in Wednesday's interview. "I don’t really think it’s a healthy thing for a body to go through that kind of aggression all the time. That could not be healthy for you."

We've caught brief glimpses of tension between Brady and Bündchen over his NFL career -- and the news that he apparently has a history of undisclosed concussions certainly raises the stakes.

"If it was up to my wife, she would have me retire today," Brady famously said in 2015. "She told me that last night three times. And I said, 'Too bad, babe, I'm having too much fun right now.'"

Brady, who's 39 years old now, has also said he hopes to play well into his 40s. He's led the Patriots to five Super Bowl wins and is universally regarded as one of the greatest NFL players of all time.

So how are they taking Gisele's concussion comments in some parts of New England? Not super well!

"Gisele rushing the QB more dangerous than any defense," reads the headline of Thursday Boston Herald column.

"Yoko Ono merely broke up the Beatles," Bill Speros writes therein. "Gisele could take down an empire."

ForTheWin also rounded up fan tweets amplifying the Gisele-wants-Brady-to-retire theory. Here's a sampling.

Here's the thing, though. Look around you. Look at how, seemingly every month or so, we learn of another former NFL star whose golden years have been reduced to hell thanks to all those hits they took on the football field.

Tom Brady is 39 years old. He's apparently suffered multiple concussions in his career. He and Gisele, his supermodel wife, have two young children together.

If Gisele wants Brady to retire, can you blame her at all?
