Calm down, Britain. Brexit won't touch your chocolate

LONDON -- The result of the European Union referendum is in, and Brits are freaking out about its impact on their snacks. 

Of course, it's a momentous, future-defining result that will impact everyday life in Britain.

But, while many Brits are worrying about what their future holds, others are extremely concerned about Brexit's repercussions on chocolate. Yes, chocolate.

A tweet pertaining to Brexit's alleged effect on Milky Way Magic Stars prompted a massive outpouring of concern and consternation. But, it was all over nothing. 

Once the votes were counted, Ben's tweet caused hundreds of heartbroken chocolate lovers to take to Twitter to mourn the loss of the much beloved snack. Only thing was: Ben's photo actually featured a packet of Milky Way magic stars hot chocolate powder, and *not* the chocolate stars. 




Panic began to take hold...




Panic ye not, Twitter. This was all one big misunderstanding.

Mashable can confirm that Milky Way Magic Stars will (B)remain in the UK. 

“We know how much consumers love Milky Way Magic Stars and fans can rest assured that they will remain on sale in the UK," a spokesperson told Mashable. Phew.

However, Mars did not respond to Mashable's question about the status of the hot chocolate powder.
