"Brexit" is a made-up word that is likely to live on in history books for decades to come. 

It's the word that summed up the United Kingdom's vote to leave the European Union on Thursday, and the Internet was quick to come up with other words that might come to define similar referendums in other European nations. 

Departugal for Portugal, Italeave for Italy, Austria la Vista for Austria, and the list goes on...
