'Bridgerton' fans yearn for the Duke of Hastings with Regé-Jean Page's exit

The news is a hard hit to fans; but perhaps the silver lining is that Page's exit shouldn't be totally ruinous to the show's plot. Bridgerton seems to be following the map of its book series inspiration, where each season will focus on one main couple's relationship.
The show has already made clear that Anthony's struggles in love will be the central storyline for this next season. Removing the Duke of Hastings' relevance shouldn't prove too difficult, as he's already had his turn in the spotlight.
Alas, fans have taken to Twitter to mourn Simon's onscreen presence, so of course, we found the best tweets below. Chief among their concerns include Anthony and Simon's friendship and Simon and Daphne's dynamic as new parents.
Oh, and also Simon's abs. Everyone's really gonna be missing Simon's abs.
