The prime minister's 'British dream' got savaged on Twitter and it's genius

Stop trying to make the British dream happen.

We've all heard of the American dream. The phrase conjures an image of an idyllic ranch somewhere, laden with blue skies and opportunity (and rabbits, sorry Lenny). But the British dream? Is that even a thing?

British Prime Minister Theresa May's disastrous speech at the Conservative Party conference today was entitled 'Renewing the British Dream'. She referred to this 'British dream' multiple times during the speech. The only problem is, no one's ever heard of any British dream -- certainly not the Brits.

So Twitter responded in classic British fashion -- with unrelenting mockery. Here are some of the limey highlights. Fair warning, a lot of them are food related.

If only there were a way to combine all these different British dreams into some huge scone, sausage and bulldog filled nightmare-scenario. Now that would be entertaining.
