Thousands of people descended on the streets of UK cities from Edinburgh to London to protest against the controversial travel ban on seven Muslim-majority countries imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
As a petition calling for Prime Minister Theresa May to block Trump's planned state visit to the UK gathers more than 1.6 million signatures, demonstrators held signs and placards that showed off their irreducible regional genius.
The demonstration in London, organised by columnist Owen Jones, took place outside 10 Downing Street.
