This is bad. This is very, very bad.

After five seasons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been canceled by Fox, The Hollywood Reporter reported Thursday. Fans of the show are distraught, to say the least, and immediately began voicing their sadness on Twitter.

Some fans lashed out in anger.

Others took to bargaining, wondering why some shows have seemingly lasted forever and yet the darling Brooklyn Nine-Nine must suffer the fate of an early grave.

Noted Brooklyn Nine-Nine fan and Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda is pushing to bring the show back from the killing floor with the hashtag #RenewB99.

Some suggest that other platforms or networks take over and keep producing the beloved show.

The bottom line is: nobody is happy about this. Nobody wants this. Why would you do this? Why would anyone think this is a good thing to do?

The people have spoken, and they want more Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

As it stands, the final episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine will air on May 20.
