London double decker bus bursts into flames in suspected arson attack

LONDON -- A double decker bus burst into flames in south London on Friday night, and police suspect arson.

Twitter users captured dramatic video and images of the flames and smoke pouring out of the bus windows on the road near Lewisham station. The 208 bus was empty and there were no injuries, the BBC reported.

Roads were held up for about half an hour, but the Metropolitan Police tweeted that although the fire looked dramatic, it was a "simple fire" and was being treated as arson.

On Saturday the police released CCTV images of a teenage boy they want to speak with in connection with the bus fire. They say he is 13-15 years old.
