Call Me By Your Name is getting a sequel, but director Luca Guadagnino has no idea what the heck to call it.

Before you suggest Call Me By Your Name Two, just know that Guadagnino is completely against a follow-up so painfully bland and cliche, per IndieWire. "The only problem is the title," he told the publication. "It cannot be Call Me by Your Name Two."

Clearly the man needs some inspiration, so naturally, the kind and creative people on Twitter stepped in to do what they do best: Brainstorm ideas in the form of memes.

From fun suggestions like "CMBYN: Princess Peach" to classic references to the most meme-able film franchise, The Fast and the Furious, fans shared their most delightful ideas for a sequel.

If we're being serious here I'd like to present the following nice and meaningful suggestions for consideration:

  • The Things That Matter

  • The Mystery of Love

  • ✨ Call Me By Your Name: Later! ✨

But the consensus among Twitter users seems to be And I'll Call You By Mine, a sweet nod to both the original title and Oliver's quote, "Call me by your name and I'll call you by mine."

There you have it Guadagnino. A perfect title.
