Leaked 'Call of Duty' details point to title, 'Modern Warfare' remaster
It shouldn't come as any surprise to learn that a Call of Duty game is coming in 2016 -- but allegedly leaked promotional materials have given us so much more info than that.
Before going any further, let's be clear: With no way to confirm the authenticity of the leaked information, consider anything you read here a rumor. Mashable has reached out to Activision for comment, but the publisher is keeping quiet for now.

On to the good stuff. Photos of a pre-order card and poster that appear to be for the next Call of Duty confirm a couple of details, including the game's subtitle (Infinite Warfare) and release date (Nov. 4).
That date falls right in line with the typical Call of Duty release timeframe -- early November -- and the subtitle is very much on-brand for the series. Of course, these are also facts that any fan -- or hoaxster -- would be familiar with.
The promo materials also out the existence of a "Legacy Edition" for Infinite Warfare, which includes a free copy of the as-yet-unconfirmed remaster of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
The leaked promo materials definitely resemble what you'd see in a GameStop or a Best Buy. April/May is typically when Activision starts sharing details of its Call of Duty plans for that year, so it's not unreasonable to think that the leak is real.
All that said, without any comment or confirmation from Activision you'll just have to let your mind run wild with the possibilities until a more formal reveal arrives.
Then again, there is this tweet from the official Call of Duty Twitter:
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
Read into that what you will. It's certainly... direct.
