Calm now lets you share an account with up to five people
Calm is now letting you share an account, for more mindfulness across the board.
The meditation app has launched a new premium family plan, allowing users to share one subscription with up to five family members or friends — and you don't have to live in the same household.
The plan, available globally from Monday, is priced at $99.99 a year in the U.S. and £40.99 a year in the UK — individual Calm plans are $69.99/£28.99 per year, and though you can log in on multiple devices with this plan, you can't differentiate between user activity.

The family account may be a collective endeavour, but information remains private between users. Sessions, stats, check-ins, and other personal data of individual users are not available for other members on the plan to view.
"For now, Premium Family will keep the mindfulness journey focused on the individual," Mads Johnsen, CPO of Calm, tells Mashable.
Meditation app competitor Headspace has already launched its own family plan for a total of six people), and all users just need to give the same address as the other subscribers. It's only slightly more expensive at £74.99 in the UK, but the same price in the U.S. at $99.99.
On the plan, Calm's whole content library is included: gratitude and mood check-ins, hundreds of guided meditations, sleep stories, lullabies for kids, and music for focus, relaxation, and sleep. The basic plan, on the other hand, includes limited access to content and soothing sleep stories, but complete access to gratitude and mood check-ins.
The product upgrade is a result of direct feedback from users, according to Johnsen, who said the family plan was "the top requested feature from our community."
You might all be able to keep your Calm usage private from your fellow subscribers, but it's safe to assume you're all probably listening to Bridgerton's Regé-Jean Page's bedtime story.
