We need to talk about Cam Newton's fox tail cleats

The Cam Newton football fashion guide just reached a new level of flamboyance.

Newton — the Carolina Panthers quarterback known for his extravagant style — showed up to warm-ups for Thursday Night Football in true form, with fox tails dangling from his already flashy cleats.

Though the NFL has made a habit enforcing its uniform policy this year, players have started switching shoes before the game starts to dodge fines.

And this isn't the first time Newton busted out a fox tail. He allegedly dropped more than $12,000 on fox tails last year, when he showed up to a press conference with one hanging from his belt.

Note the date on that tweet — Nov. 22. The late November edition of Newton's fall fashion guide must call for fox tails.

The Panthers are 3-6 on the season heading into Thursday night's game against New Orleans. Maybe a little good luck fox tail — or two — is all they need to turn things around.
