Cannes 2016 to open with Woody Allen's 'Cafe Society'

As New York dives into Tribeca, international filmmakers around the world are preparing for festival season. In the south of France (which is lovely this time of year), that means releasing the lineup for the 69th annual Cannes Film Festival, taking place from May 11 to 22.

The full list of films is broken down by category, including a section for Cinéfondation's short and medium-length films. This is the second year of Cannes under festival president Pierre Lescure, who took over for Gilles Jacob in July 2014.

The official selection is below, not including the Court Métrage and Cinéfondation categories.
