Did you watch Evo two weeks ago, and think you might be ready for the Street Fighter big time?

Capcom is opening up its annual Street Fighter V tournament, the Capcom Cup, to a wider swath of players by holding online tournaments over the next few months. Players that win their respective online tournament will be able to compete in their regional qualifier for a spot in this year's Capcom Cup, which has a $250,000 prize pool.

There will be two 256-person tournaments held in each tournament region: North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Players on both PC and PS4 are eligible, so long as they register on Challonge a week before their tournament starts. (A tournament organizer confirmed those spots would be first come, first served.) There is no charge to enter, and you should probably take a peek at the full rules before signing up.

The first-place winner from each of the eight online tournaments will win airfare and hotel accommodations for the applicable 16-person regional qualifier.

The Capcom Cup, which collects its 32 entrants from tournament winners and the winningest players in each region, will be held at the end of the year, with a date and location still to be announced.

The first online ranking event, which is for the North American region, will take place this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
