The CTO of Oculus would love to bring old Nintendo games into VR
There are plenty of dream games people would like to see come to virtual reality, from Grand Theft Auto to Skyrim. But there aren't many people capable of bringing those games smoothly into VR.
Except for maybe John Carmack.

The technical wizard, first responsible for games like Doom, is now the CTO of Oculus. He's also claimed responsibility for helping bring both Netflix and Minecraft into virtual reality. (He called the latter the "perfect metaverse" for VR.) Now that Minecraft is fully in consumers' hands, Carmack is already dreaming what he could tinker with next.

Deep breaths, Nintendo fans. This is probably never going to get approved by Nintendo, though that certainly couldn't stop Carmack from tinkering. It just means his efforts could never be commercially released.

If you're craving Nintendo games in VR now, there have been some great experimental projects, including rebuilding the original Legend of Zelda as a VR game.
