A cat crashed a soccer game and refused to leave

This is his house now.

A whole soccer match came to a halt when a cat decided to go for a run across the field.

During a Premier League game between Everton and Wolves on Saturday, a feline player wandered onto the pitch and started sprinting.

"A black cat is on the field!" the announcer said, convinced that someone had smuggled "kittles" into the stadium.

The two teams watched the cat run back and forth across the field, stopping the game entirely. The crowd, meanwhile, cheered whenever it managed to evade the stadium security's best efforts to corner it.

Twitter users called for the cat to officially join one of the teams.

It was only a matter of time before someone made a Twitter account for the cat.

This is probably the most wholesome two minutes on Twitter in 2019 so far.
