WTF, nature: Cat interrupts huge toad just trying to eat a snake alive

A puzzling clip from Thailand features a very awkward interaction between a curious cat, a hungry toad and a snake who's just trying its best.
In the clip, which was uploaded to Live Leak on Monday, a massive toad is midway through eating a live snake tail-first when a cat comes along to spoil its dinner plans.

Confused or ready to play, the cat comes right up to the snake and whacks it right on the head. As if being eaten wasn't bad enough.
The humans filming the clip surely enjoyed action, but to be fair, cats and toads are generally more loved than snakes.
The clip continues with the baffled cat booping the snake as the toad tries to finish its dinner. It's unclear how the situation ended, but it's safe to assume that this snake perished fighting for its life from both ends.
RIP little snake.
