Everyone's made a typo in their life, including international airlines.

Cathay Pacific gained plenty of internet attention after a new paint job on one of its planes resulted in the misspelling of the airline's name.

Someone unfortunately forgot to include the "F" in the name, leaving it to be read as "Cathay Paciic."

According to the South China Morning Post, the error was first spotted on the Hong Kong Aviation Discussion Board. At least Cathay Pacific found it funny too.

As cited by the newspaper, an engineer for sister company Haeco was unsure as to how the mistake could've happened.

"The spacing is too on-point for a mishap. We have stencils. Should be a blank gap in between letters if it was a real mistake I think," the engineer said.

The error could be costly to fix, but in the meantime the internet enjoyed the mistake — and makes us realise we all probably need a copy editor in our lives.
