With the annual crush of travellers in China pushing their way home this Chinese New Year , imagining Hollywood actors stuck in line for a train like everyone else is pretty great.

One guy has photoshopped his interpretation of this, and the images are going viral on Chinese social media site Weibo.

Some three billion trips will be made across China this year over a 40-day stretch, as millions of Chinese travellers make their way home for one of the country's biggest celebrations.

Lets just say a trip to the Shire is not the only unexpected journey Bilbo will be taking this year.

The tough and weather-proof checkered shopping bag is a common sight in China, and have become somewhat synonymous with Chinese travellers schlepping their belonging crosscountry.

The post has since been shared over 20,000 times on Weibo.

"It’s the annual Spring Festival rush, where the Mad Maxes within us have begun their journey home. The stations are filled with faceless people (like Jason Bourne), and they take a break before becoming part of the brave "Expendables" facing the crowd. Hopefully everyone gets home early," said one user.
