Celebrities share the empowering reasons they're marching for women today

Women are banding together to lead a powerful march for equality, respect and peace in Washington, D.C. today, and celebrities are using their social platforms to help spread the word.

Thanks to the hashtag, #WhyIMarch, celebrities like Sophia Bush, Connie Britton, Cher, Katy Perry and Zendaya, to name a few, were inspired to share the empowering reasons they're taking part in the Women's March on Washington.

As the march begins, prominent names in Hollywood have started sharing photographs and video of themselves at the march and iconic women from history, along with the powerful reasons why this peaceful protest and expression of togetherness is so important.
