The verdict is in: Yes, math can, in fact, be fun.

'Know this might seem controversial, but hear it out: Chance the Rapper sat in on a third-grade math class during a surprise Career Day appearance at a Chicago elementary school this week, and it looked extremely enjoyable.

See for yourself. Addition, multiplication, and subtraction are all on the day's menu, and none of the students look even a little mad about it. The lesson even got a cool name: "Math Talk."

Plus, teacher Ms. Jackson is clearly a star. How can you tell? Everyone is quiet and listening. No easy feat.

A Chicago native, Chance has advocated tirelessly for much-needed funding for public schools in his hometown.

And here's some more promising math: Earlier this month, he announced an initiative to raise $215 million for the Chicago public school system in conjunction with his nonprofit, Social Works, and kicked off the effort with a donation of $1 million from his own pocket to Chicago schools. To which you can only say one thing: HUA HUA HUA HUA!
