We all know that one person with an insatiable addiction to cheese. This might just be the perfect holiday gift for them...aside from a giant block of the stuff.

Behold! The cheese advent calendar. It lets you count down the days till Christmas and receive a dairy treat (of a different kind) everyday.

You can make it yourself too, courtesy of an instructional post by London-based Annem Hobson in her food blog So Wrong Its Nom.

It's basically a slightly modified version of a typical chocolate advent calendar that's sold everywhere. That is, the tray has been reused for delicious morsels of cheeeeese instead of chocolate, and creating the box for maximum yellowy glow.

See it in action below.

If you can't be bothered making one of your own, the Cheese Advent Calendar website lets you sign-up to receive updates for when it goes on general sale in 2017.

So far, it already has more than 1000 people interested in the project. It's not just you.

In the meantime, just feast your eyes on what could be.

Mmm, cheese.
