Watch where you sit, because there's about to be Cheetos dust all over the seats at Regal Cinemas.

In the never ending mashup of food trends, the classic buttered movie theatre popcorn just got a major upgrade with the introduction of Cheetos. Yes, folks, starting Dec. 15 you will be able to enjoy Cheetos Popcorn at participating Regal Cinemas nationwide.

According to a really boring corporate press release, the "Cheetos-flavored popcorn" will be served "mixed with Crunchy Cheetos," which may sound like a weird texture difference to some. Regardless, it's Cheetos-flavored popcorn, so you really can't go wrong.

Twitter user Cbranch89 posted a photo back in mid-November of the Cheetos Popcorn, which has since racked up over 15,000 retweets and 35,000 likes, but the release from Regal Cinemas and Cheetos finally confirmed the marriage.

While it's unclear how long this mashup will be available for, John Curry, senior vice-president of foodservice, Regal Cinemas called it a "gift to Regal fans enjoying their favorite movie this holiday season."

That said, the innovation in movie theatre popcorn has been really lacking, so we welcome any positive change.
