Cher's mom is really proud of her daughter's 'Mamma Mia' cameo

Does your mother know about this tweet, Cher?

We all get a little embarrassed by our parents from time to time. That's a feeling that even 72-year-old megastar Cher can relate to.

Cher tweeted out a message of thinly veiled exasperation at her 92-year-old mother for being a little too excited about her daughter's part in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

You can practically hear the sarcasm in this tweet.

Cher starred in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again in the role of Ruby Sheridan, mother of Meryl Streep's character Donna, who's played by Lily James in the flashbacks to the '70s.

While Cher's appearance in the movie may be short, she got a lot of attention for her rendition of Fernando in the movie. And shortly after the movie's premiere, Cher announced that she's releasing an album of Abba cover songs. The album, Dancing Queen, will be released September 28th.

Never change, Cher. And never stop tweeting.
