Thirty years may have passed since the Chernobyl disaster, but a new Animal Planet special aims to highlight how nature is still reeling from the nuclear accident.

In Life After: Chernobyl, biologist Rob Nelson and anthropologist Mary-Ann Ochota visit the areas surrounding the site of the worst nuclear power plant accident in history to discover how the incident is still impacting the animals and environment.

Life After: Chernobyl airs Tuesday, April 26, at 10:00 p.m. ET.
