The Chicago Cubs are going to their first World Series since 1945, and understandably, people are stoked.

Chicago beat the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday night, giving the Cubs a series win and punching their ticket to the Fall Classic. The Cubs, who face the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday, will try and win their first World Series since 1908.

This was a moment 71 years in the making, and people celebrated accordingly.

Things got started when Cubs closer Aroldis Chapman recorded the final two outs of the game.

When the festivities on the field were over, players brought the party to the Cubs' locker room.

Cubs fans — many of whom have waited a lifetime for this celebration — took to the streets and kept the good times rolling outside Wrigley Field.

Cubs fans everywhere rejoiced, even the ones who couldn't make it to the game in-person.

A handful of notable figures, including Hillary Clinton, musician Eddie Vedder, and actors John Cusack and Bill Murray, all joined the party in one way or another.

If this is how Chicago parties after making it to the World Series, one can only imagine what will happen if the Cubs win it all.
