The internet bands together to help a man win a year's supply of chicken nuggets

This man needs your help.

There is a hierarchy of chicken nuggets in the world, and among fast food chains, Wendy's is one of the top contenders.

One man is trying all he can without leaving his home to get a year's supply of Wendy's chicken nuggets. Mostly, he's just begging the internet for retweets.

It all started when Reno resident Carter Wilkerson kindly asked Wendy's on Twitter how many retweets he needed in order to get a year filled with free nuggets.

If you're unfamiliar with #brand Twitter, Wendy's is top of the game. The person running their account is straight up sassy, which is a welcome change amid a sea of cautious companies fearful of offending or enraging the internet.

Wendy's responded with the impossible number of 18 million.

Wilkerson then retweeted a photo of the interaction, because a man needs his nuggs. That tweet has since racked up over 407,000 retweets. I'm not so good at math, but he's got a long way to go.

Recognizing this is impossible, Wilkerson has since attempted to negotiate with Wendy's.

Regardless, Wendy's has revealed that Wilkerson has already received more attention than they had expected, so maybe they'll cut the guy a break.

Naturally, the internet has rallied behind the nugg lover.

Currently, the most retweeted tweet of all time is Ellen DeGeneres' Oscar selfie, with a cool 3.2 million, so it's almost certain Wilkerson will never even come close to 18 million.

Even with DeGeneres' help.

Both Wilkerson and Wendy's did not immediately respond to Mashable's requests for comment.
