Truth can be found through this 8-year-old wearing a clown costume in family picture

Praise be to those who have such bravery.

Throughout the story of humanity, every so often, heroes emerge.

Real heroes, those that shine with bravery and radiate with self-possession, are so rare that we so often over look them, losing their light in the noise of a mundane world.

Not today.

For on Feb. 13, Twitter user Leslie M.R introduced us to a friend of hers when she posted a picture of him.

This unnamed exemplar of all that is righteous and strong in humankind, when he was but a mere 8 years old, stood his firm ground against parental authority and social customs and insisted on dressing up like a clown for the family portrait.

See him recline! Rejoice at his stalwart comfort! Marvel at his resolve! Envy his conviction!

For this bastion of individuality did not settle for a simple clown mask, or some light face paint. No, that would not do at all. This courageous beacon has bedecked his beautiful self in a costume worthy of any clown college president.

If you needed any further proof that this is how we should all live our lives, observe his face. His family gathers around like the court of a king, recognizing the value contained within something that somehow stands no taller than anyone's waist, and he, the king, allows his face to repose in total contentment. He is like Buddha beneath the Bohdi tree. Except in a clown costume.

Now, you could ask yourself many questions. Why would his parents let him do this? Where did he find such a fine costume? Why is he posed like the Godfather surrounded by his unworthy Cappos? What the hell is going on here?

Each question, however, simply proves your lack of understanding. Each question you ask admits your inability to view the true glory of self expression.

So, question not! Bask at this king and be thankful for bearing witness to such concentrated greatness.

For you may not see another true hero ever again.
