Nope. That's not what they're for.

I'm a 34-year-old woman, and for the life of me, I still can't tell you why boobs exist.

But that doesn't mean I'm about to turn to Growing Up for Boys, a puberty guide that recently went viral for its MRA-inspired description of women's development, for answers.

"Girls have breasts for two reasons. One is to make milk for babies. The other is to make the girl look grown-up and attractive," the book reads. "Virtually all breasts, no matter what size or shape they end up when a girl finishes puberty, can do both things."

Oh. No. You. Didn't.

The book was published in 2013 but just took off after Simon Ragoonanan, a blogger who examines gender stereotyping in children's books, published excerpts on his Facebook page.

Here are just a few of the stellar reviews its received on Amazon:

"This book is ill written trash, by Alex Firth who thinks boobs are to make girls look attractive to men. Not to mention to sheer ignorance and sexism that we shouldn't be instilling in future generations. It shows a lack of actual knowledge on the subject of puberty, which brings into question why it was even published in the first place," one reviewer gushed.

Another reviewer couldn't hold back her enthusiasm:

"Sexist piece of garbage that claims breasts exist partly to make a woman look more grown up and attractive. Gross. Who the hell approved this crap?"

To be fair, the book appears is by no means a bestseller -- there's only 22 reviews on its Amazon page, and many are from when after the book went viral.

Still, come on, guys.

Usborne, the book's publisher, said they would be revising the content for reprinting.
