That didn't take long.

Just two weeks after China's Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon glass bridge opened to thousands of visitors, it had to close suddenly, with no re-opening date announced yet.

The 430-metre-long bridge, touted as the world's longest see-through bridge, is suspended 300-metres above a valley. Government officials shut it to visitors on Friday for an "internal system update."

On their Weibo page, the bridge's operators posted a closure notice saying that they'll take the next few days to work on "software and hardware" updates that are necessarily to better manage the influx of visitors.
