In the past week alone, we've seen plenty of people come up with new ways to celebrate International Women's Day, which fell on Mar. 8.

Most have been positive, but the truly bizarre has got to be a bra unbuckling contest that was hosted by a shopping mall in Lizhou city, China on Tuesday.

Both men and women were allowed to take part. The winner of the contest was a Chinese woman, who managed to complete the task in 14 seconds.

It's not known what prize the winner got to take home.

According to reports, the contest was organised to attract customers to the mall on International Women's Day.

We think the organisers might have missed the whole point of the idea behind International Women's Day, which is a day for reflecting on progress.
