Chris Evans is officially done with Avengers: Infinity War, and his last day on set was "emotional...to say the least."

Saying goodbye to a character you've played for eight years is certainly an emotional experience, but knowing Marvel, Cap will have quite the send off. In fact, we think he died.

We've suspected for some time that Cap's death (among others) will conclude the Avengers series – in fact, we kind of think it should. This is a war, and no one knows the cost of battle better than former soldier Steve Rogers. The Avengers are going to lose quite a few soldiers – and that's on top of having lost half of them to Thanos' deadly snap if they can't reverse its effects.

Though he survived part 1 of Infinity War, Cap is now faced with the monumental task of rallying his gutted team against an all-powerful Thanos – not to mention wracked with guilt for his foolhardy fight plan and being so stubborn about "trading lives." Knowing Steve, he's going to double down on the fight and sacrifice himself to save everyone – just like that skinny kid from Brooklyn who jumped on a grenade all those years ago.

Avengers 4 premieres in 2019.
