The internet briefly mourns Chris Evans' dog, who is still very much alive

The internet is highly experienced in the art of Jumping to Conclusions. The latest example: Chris Evans said he missed his dog, so everyone assumed the dog was dead.

But, friends, the dog is not dead. The dog is very much alive -- Chris Evans is just away from home shooting Red Sea Diving Resort.

Still, it's easy to see how this misunderstanding came about. Here's Evans's original tweet, featuring an extremely good and nice dog pic.

Look, we get it. It's a dark world, and it's easy to assume the worst.

But after getting more than a few tweets from people offering their condolences, Evans was forced to issue this clarification.

And everyone breathed (screamed) a sigh of relief. Even Seth Rogen!

Guys ... I, uh, think we gotta chill.
