As the coronavirus continues to spread, more and more world leaders are announcing various measures aimed at delaying the disease.

And more and more criticism is being levelled at Donald Trump. The president's repeated reassurances, coupled with his avoidance of any responsibility (despite his administration getting rid of the U.S.' pandemic response team two years back) have not gone unnoticed.

At a press conference on Sunday, after the president largely spoke about the Federal Reserve’s decision to make an emergency rate cut, he hurriedly handed off to Mike Pence before leaving the stage. Captain America himself (a.k.a. actor Chris Evans) then joined the chorus of frustrated voices.

This isn't the first time Evans has slammed Trump on Twitter — the Marvel star has previously criticised the president over his relationship with Putin, and his comments on climate change.

COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, has infected 164,837 people globally. 6,470 people have died.
