Anyone who's ever tried fantasy football — or any fantasy version of any sport, for that matter — will know how hotly-contested it can get.

In a nutshell, it involves picking a team and scoring points based on how your players perform in real life. People take that stuff seriously too, and superheroes are no exception.

This year, various Hollywood stars — all of whom have to have appeared in a superhero movie to qualify — are competing in the AGBO Superhero Fantasy Football Charity League.

The league was created by Avengers director Joe Russo — who owns AGBO along with his brother — and fantasy football analyst Matthew Berry. You can watch the two of them discussing how it all came about here.

Needless to say, the league has been intensely competitive so far. Just look at how Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt reacted on Tuesday when he was grouped in along with Chris "Thor" Hemsworth and Ryan "Deadpool" Reynolds in that previous tweet.

Pratt followed that tweet up with annotated proof that he has more "points for" than Hemsworth and Reynolds.

Unsurprisingly, Reynolds wasn't about to take that lying down.

You can see the full league standings here. Let's have a moment of silence for Tom Holland, who's currently stone cold last (although in Spider-Man's defence, us Brits don't tend to be super knowledgeable when it comes to American football).
