Leave it to Chrissy Teigen to use her fame to crowdsource for....bananas.

The model/cookbook author used her Twitter to find very ripe bananas in Los Angeles for some reason. No, she's not offering up money for it.

Instead, underwear from her husband, John Legend, was enough compensation for folks to offer up their mushy fruit to the queen of Cravings.

"If you have 6 brown bananas in the LA area, I will send my assistant to your home with a signed cookbook, John's underwear and a Becca palette," Teigen wrote on Twitter, before clarifying that this was an offer for "SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY."

People began sending her photos of themselves holding bananas with a peace sign, per her rules. Eventually Teigen found Twitter user @bymeg who happened to have five bananas, and lo and behold, the banana giver happened to live near Teigen's assistant.

"Banana submissions are now closed. Thank you guys so much I will send the runner ups some banana bread once done," Teigen tweeted, but not before she gave Meg a warning.

"Just for safety, my assistant asks that you taste a small piece of the banana in front of her before making the trade," she wrote.

And just like that, the hand off was carefully made, underwear included.

And the bananas made it safely home. Welcomed by a dog in a bellhop outfit, which Chrissy respectfully asks us not to question.

Beyond the underwear, @bymeg was also treated to a very kind signing of Chrissy's book.

Keep your eyes peeled for how the banana bread turns out. Who knows, maybe the recipe will make it in her followup to Cravings.
