YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki joined the outpouring of condolences for 22-year-old musician Christina Grimmie on Saturday after she was shot dead by an unnamed gunman while signing autographs after a show in Orlando, Florida on Friday. After opening fire, her brother, Mark Grimmie, tackled the gunman, who then turned the gun on himself and died by suicide.

Shortly after tweeting a news article about the shooting, Wojcicki followed up with another tweet, saying she was, "stunned and saddened to hear the news about Christina Grimmie. A true talent and an inspiration to so many."

Grimmie first received mass recognition for her impressive vocal range and musical talent in 2009 on YouTube at the age of 15. Grimmie would often post stripped-down piano covers of current pop songs to her channel, which currently has 3,256,655 subscribers and 378,340,659 views as of this writing.

Comments on her YouTube channel were disabled sometime Saturday afternoon.

Following her rise to fame on YouTube, Grimmie later appeared on NBC's The Voice, on Adam Levine's team. She finished in third place.

Some users responded to Wojcicki's tweet, asking YouTube to highlight Grimmie's channel on the front page of the website. At the time of writing, YouTube has yet to honor that request.
