Watch 8 'Tetris' masters play the game better than you ever will
A new Tetris champion was crowned on Sunday as eight of the world's most talented players came to compete in the 7th annual Classic Tetris World Championship.
The winner was six-time champ Jonas Neubauer, who successfully defended his title in the final match against Jeff Moore. This was Moore's first time finishing in the CTWC top-three, with Harry Hong -- the only former competitor to defeat Neubauer, in 2014 -- finishing in third.
The eight finalists emerged from a group of 57 participants, all of whom faced off through two days of qualifiers before the 32-bracket seeded tournament determined a winner. Neubauer received a $1,000 award for his victory, while Moore claimed a $500 runner-up pot.
