President Trump has entertained plenty of deeply dangerous and upsetting conspiracy theories. This week's had to be one of his dumbest.

On Thursday, Hillary Clinton spoke out on Twitter about Donald's latest theory: that she colluded with the Russians in the 2016 campaign.

"There was collusion between Hillary, the Democrats and Russia," Trump said at a rally on Wednesday. "There was a lot of collusion with them and Russia and lots of other people."

It takes a lot of, shall we say, imagination to allege that Clinton colluded with the Russians. Was she conspiring with the Russians to ensure she lost the presidency and the Democrats lose both houses?

Here's what Clinton had to say about it:

While campaigning, Trump publicly asked Russia at a rally to hack Hillary's emails. He later claimed he was being sarcastic, which, well. No.

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Trump said. According to the New York Times, the Russians made their first attempt to hack into Clinton's personal servers that same day.

It's possible that Trump was referring to the Steele dossier, which was initially partially funded by a law firm working with the Clinton campaign. It's also plausible that Trump was just ... making it up.

Trump Jr. also tweeted a reference to the dossier Thursday afternoon, telling Clinton to "sit this one out."

Hillary Clinton, thank you for your service and/or this tweet.
