Friends lost their camera at Coachella. It only took the internet 1 day to reunite them.

The internet can be a beautiful place.

The internet can be a beautiful place.

During Coachella a few weeks ago, Garet Hanson found a lost disposable camera. Since she had no idea who the owner was, she had the photos developed and posted them on Twitter in hopes that social media would do its magic.

"It was the last day of Coachella and during Eminem I went to use the restroom and I found the camera in the bathroom stall," Hanson said through Twitter DM. "It was super random."

Hanson said she was drunk and "thought it would be cool to use the disposable camera" but there wasn't any film left. Still, she was "really excited" to see how the mystery photos turned out.

In a since-deleted post, Instagram meme account @kalesalad posted screenshots of Hanson's tweet.

With 2.2 million followers, the account managed to connect the photos to Jillian Field, who claimed the lost disposable in the post's comments.

News of the lost camera's owner made its way back to Hanson on Twitter.

According to this update retweeted by Hanson, Field contacted her only a day after her search started.

Speaking of lost cameras, if anyone found a disposable at Sasquatch! Music Festival, let @kmwhite93 know.

This of course isn't the first time the internet connected a person with their lost photos, and hopefully won't be the last.
